Sarala Krishnan is a half-Bangledeshi and half-Indian girl currently a nurse-in-training at the local hospital. She lives in a mansion that's gradually falling apart because she doesn't really have the means to keep it appropriately maintained.
Sarala's parents brought her here when she was 2-years-old, so English is her fluency in languages besides that one are incredibly bad. ( Initially, her parents were very prosperous, but cultural and marital stresses led to a gradual slide into chaos. )
